Opening of EuraTechnologies' new AgTech incubator

EuraTechnologies, France's leading star-up incubator unveiled its latest hub dedicated to technologies in the agriculture sector on 2 February 2018. This new hub for AgroTech and AgriTech will act as a start-up incubator and a springboard for entrepreneurs and key industry players.

During the inauguration, a round table on “Big Data and Precision Agriculture” was hosted by Agridées. IBM, Karnott, ISAGRI and Skapánê were all present to discuss and debate the following themes:

  • Use of data collected from agricultural activities
  • Simplification and automation of data entry
  • Management and modulation of nitrate fertilizer doses
  • Meteorological data accuracy
  • Hyper-customization of services
  • Augmented Intelligence
  • Precision farming

Collaboration and experimentation at the heart of the hub

Project manager Amber Ogborn said “This new incubator aims at welcoming young talented entrepreneurs and allowing them to experiment, develop and test their project in association with farmers and partner companies”. EuraTechnologies decided to implant this new incubator to Willems, to take advantage of the wealth of the region in terms of farmland, but also for the proximity of stakeholders. To promote research and the innovation, the 120m² hub will host four challenges a year, exclusively dedicated to technological projects for use in agriculture. The best projects in each challenge will officially join the incubator.
