A propicious renewable energies; resources that are now essential
- Cultivated surface area dedicated to renewable energies in France: 750,000 ha in 2006. The estimated figure for 2009 is 2 million hectares (x 2.7).
- France: the leading producer of energy wood in Europe, with 15 million hectares and an increase of 87 million sq.m. per year.
